Lazio
Delio Rossi's biggest concern is striker Tommaso Rocchi, who is doubtful for the game with an ankle injury. The player himself rates his participation at 50/50, and could take pain killing injections in order to feature, but only if the recovery is sufficient to avoid serious damage.
In his absence, Pandev and Makinwa will share the striking duties, with Mudingayi, Ledesma, Mauri and Manfrendini behind them. At the back, the talking point continues to be 43-year-old Marco Ballotta, who will start in goal.
Probable Starting XI: Ballotta - Berhami, Stendardo, Cribari, Zauri - Mudingayi, Ledesma, Mauri - Manfrendini - Pandev, Makinwa.
Real Madrid
Ruud van Nistelrooy and Gonzalo Higuain are back in the squad, but Robinho is out after picking up an injury against Valladolid. Pepe and Metzelder are still not fully fit. Heinze would have had to fill in as a centre-half, but Cannavaro has shaken off his niggle and will partner Ramos, leaving the Argentine to start in his more familiar left-sided role.
Raul and Van Nistelrooy will start together again after the Dutchman's time out, leaving Saviola on the bench. Robben should also play only a bit part role, with Schuster and the Madrid medics against giving him two full games in four days just yet. Sneijder and Guti will both start, just in front of Diarra, with Higuain on the right, and the left left open for Guti, Raul and Heinze to drift into.
